Another slick site and another beta on the internet. Windows Live is my favorite spot on the internet. It is my home page. The new site "Windows Live Gallery" is a source for implementing features on a customized Windows Live site. The site is layed out very nicely. It has a very clean look and feels a lot like running an application on a local computer. The search feature works great and of course you can browse for Live content through a category structure. The site far exceeds the previously used "Microsoft Gadgets" site.
If you have yet to check out Windows Live, then I would recommend getting yourself a passport and begin the process of making your custom morning news paper. To view the Windows Live Gallery site, go here: Windows Live Gallery

Microsoft Research is in the works with a product that will hopefully see the light of day in the retail world. Microsoft is working on a display that may turn a flat surface into the display for a computer. More exciting is the camera that monitors the display. This camera relays intelligence to the computer about movement and allows the user to manipulate the user interface through gestures and giving directions with movement. For as long as I can remember we've been stuck telling the computer what to do with a keyboard and mouse. Microsoft is pushing limits with new methods to interact with the computer, from pen to speach to motion gestures.

This tablet is a serious upgrade from my own. Some great features include:
Dual microphone array with IntelliSonic noise cancellation software
Monitor rotates in both directions
Integrated Fingerprint Sensor
All of these new features are ones that I've been missing out on with my own tablet and will really benefit buyers of this new beauty. You can check out the review by clicking the picture.

Rob Bushway has a great video that demonstrates the flick functionality in Vista that will make computer usability a breaze for tablet computers. This was enough to make me want to start flicking my pen. I even started flicking my pen (without the functionality of course) only to get a restriction mouse pointer. You can check out the video here: www.gottabemobile.com

Inklings and Impressions is born to the world of blogging. It is a host for ideas (inklings) and for impressions of those ideas. It may be used as a selective knowledgebase for enthusiasts with the same interests as the poster to the weblog. Emotions often flow freely as a result of inklings and impressions and that is a great reason to post to the blog.
