Another Hot Fujitsu Tablet Coming Soon

The LOOX P Series tablet looks like another great computer that will soon be offered by Fujitsu. Click on the picture for a gallery of this new item. This tablet appears similar to the P1510D model, however, it's unknown whether it will support a touch screen. From the pictures we can see a fingerprint sensor. I've also read that it will support Windows Vista, with a disclaimer that additional hardware may be needed to utilize features beyond Vista (Windows Aero UI).

Projector Display Built Into Cell Phone

Video Projector on a Chip Not only is this idea wicked cool, but it's being researched close to home. Cornell University is looking to create a carbon-fiber chip that is small enough to fit inside a cell phone form factor. The chip has the ability to create a projector display. Projecting a cell phone display to a wall would be grand as it can be difficult showing friends the pictures you've taken on a screen an inch in size. This opens great possibilities for the future of cell phone user interfaces and input ideas. The article continues to suggest that the carbon fiber could also be used as a means to produce energy through motion.

  Off to La La Land

la la beta If you love music, like me, and you love to get your music at a low cost, also like me, then you should head to la la land as well. I was recommended this site from a friend last night and I immediately signed up. Not only did I sign up, but I stayed up for hours just enjoying the site.

La la is a community of online music sharing. You must be willing to give away one of your music cd's, and in turn you will be able to select, from the entire community, the used cd you want for the low cost of $1. La la will even mail you the shipping packages, so there is no cost to ship your music. The user interface on this site is extremely pleasurable to use. The features provide everything you would expect in an easy format.

Join the community and start sharing your music with others. If you're anything like me, you just might get lost in la la land. La La

  Inklings Go Live with Plugin

Inklings Go Live with Plugin Inklings may want to check out the new plugin that is in beta, written by Ed Holloway. It will allow you to add ink to your blog post without using the cut-paste method that many were using before. Just hit the "Insert Ink Blog" button and you are set to add ink to your post. I foresee many unreadable posts in my future. You can find the plugin here: Ink Blog Beta

Just a couple other plugs for Windows Live Writer. I know there are many posts emerging on this surprise tool released by Microsoft, but there is good reason. This program makes publishing to blogs incredibly easy and with great style. Within Live Writer, pictures may be edited, borders may be added, margins may be added, effects may be added, and pictures may be auto uploaded to the web server. Plugins may be written to improve the application to your liking, as Ed Holloway has done above. You can see how to write your own plugins here: Windows Live SDK

  Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Writer is a new tool in Beta that allows publishing to many different blogging utilities. Inklings and Impressions is a blog that will support this new tool. This is our first post using the new utility.

The different views offered by the utility make this a useful program. It is very easy to see your blog entry inside the web page before it is published. The one feature I would love to see added is the ability to upload pictures to the web server. This would complete the ultimate post utility. If you want to make your blogging experience a little easier, then this tool is for you. The new utility can be downloaded here: Windows Live Writer

  Vista Voice Recognition

vistavoicerec.jpgThis great video on the voice recognition improvements in Windows Vista is a must see. I've played with the voice recognition a bit on my Tablet with the XP Tablet operating system and have been impressed, but perhaps not impressed enough to use it regularly. This video has sold me on giving it even more of an effort with Vista. I am particularly impressed with the highlighting of fields so that you may confirm your directions. You may watch this impressive video here: Long Zheng Vista Voice Recognition Video

  News Flash on Sony UX-90

VaioUX-90S.jpgAn amazing video can be seen on youtube.com, showing the new Sony UX-90 Ultra-Mobile PC (right in picture). This computer, as said in the video, is way ahead of its time. It uses a flash 16gb hard drive, which makes load times incredibly fast. A demonstration of how fast this computer is may be seen in the video, where the UX-90 boots twice while the UX180P boots once.

Throw the Tablet operating system on this machine and it would just about make dreams come true. Although this has a hefty price tag, the machine looks to be the computer of the future, and may just be enough to dent your wallet. See the video here: youtube.com
